Destined for Greatness™ is our flagship youth initiative, bringing mentorship, identity development, leadership experiences, cultural connection, and future-ready opportunities together for youth ages 12–17.

Core Program Areas

Four program pillars

Pillar 01

Identity & Leadership

Confidence, character, communication, decision-making, resilience, leadership and purpose.

Why This Matters: We recognize youth as emerging leaders with ideas, gifts, and influence. A shared language for identity, values, and self-leadership helps them use all three.
Program Response: A guided leadership development framework delivered in small leadership cohorts with trained, trusted adult facilitators.
Youth Experience: Planned weekly sessions covering self-awareness, character, public speaking, conflict resolution and decision-making, paired with peer leadership practice.
Intended Outcome: Emerging leaders articulate their values, speak with confidence, and take responsibility for their decisions and for one another.

Pillar 02

Learning & Opportunity

Learning support, technology exposure, career exploration, future readiness and access to opportunity.

Why This Matters: Talent is abundant. Access to relationships, exposure, and opportunity remains uneven across neighborhoods.
Program Response: Learning support paired with structured exposure to careers, technology, workplaces and post-secondary pathways.
Youth Experience: Designed to provide learning support, community-based digital skills workshops, employer site visits, campus experiences and future-readiness sessions.
Intended Outcome: Future leaders raise their educational aspirations and can name concrete next steps toward them.

Pillar 03

Culture & Global Connection

Cultural identity, global awareness, cross-cultural learning and international exposure.

Why This Matters: Heritage is a source of strength. We create space for the next generation to understand their culture as a foundation for confidence and global belonging.
Program Response: Perspective developed through meaningful cultural exchange and shared learning that connects heritage, history and global citizenship.
Youth Experience: Planned cultural study, arts and storytelling, dialogue with peers abroad, and international exposure experiences.
Intended Outcome: Emerging leaders hold a grounded cultural identity and understand their place in a wider world.

Pillar 04

Ghana Youth Partnership Initiative

Connecting the next generation in Greater Philadelphia and Ghana through learning, leadership, culture and shared experiences.

Why This Matters: Both communities contribute as equal partners in one shared mission, each bringing leadership, culture, talent and perspective.
Program Response: A reciprocal partnership where emerging leaders in both nations learn, teach, lead and build together.
Youth Experience: Shared leadership activities and experiences, cross-continental cohorts, educator collaboration, cultural exchange and joint service projects — all planned as partnerships are confirmed.
Intended Outcome: Future leaders in both nations gain global relationships, expanded perspective and shared leadership experience.
